What we store
Wait My Tsla stores the following data, all associated with an anonymous account:
- ✓ Your Tesla OAuth tokens (access token and refresh token), encrypted with AES-256-GCM.
- ✓ Your order reference number, retrieved from the Tesla API.
- ✓ Your email address (only if you subscribe to delivery alerts), encrypted with AES-256-GCM.
- ✓ A snapshot of your order's last known state, used to detect changes.
What we do not store
- ✕ Your Tesla account credentials (username, password).
- ✕ Any personally identifiable information beyond what is listed above.
- ✕ Payment information of any kind.
How we use your data
Your tokens are used exclusively to query Tesla's API on your behalf. Your email address (if provided) is used solely to send you delivery change notifications.
Data retention and deletion
Your data is linked to an anonymous session. If you lose your session (e.g., clear cookies), a new anonymous account is created and your previous data becomes inaccessible. We do not offer account recovery.
You can delete all your data at any time by clicking the "Delete my data" button on your dashboard. This permanently removes your account, tokens, order data and alert settings.
If you have not subscribed to email alerts, your data is automatically deleted after 24 hours. Only users who have opted into delivery alerts will have their data retained beyond that period.
Third parties
We use Brevo (formerly Sendinblue) to send transactional emails. Your email address is transmitted to Brevo only when sending an alert or confirmation email.
We query Tesla's internal API using your OAuth tokens. We are not affiliated with Tesla, Inc.
